Yes, you can start a Shipt order directly within Claude or ChatGPT! Through your AI assistant you’ll be able to ask for ideas and recipes, build your cart, and then transfer your items to Shipt to check out.
Open ChatGPT and search for Shipt in the Plugins directory. Once you find Shipt, click Connect. You can shop instantly as a guest on ChatGPT, or sign in to Shipt to unlock recommendations based on your personalized preferences.
Type in Shipt or @Shipt and describe what you’re looking for (for example, “Shipt build me a cart for taco night for 8 people tonight in zip 35203) and ChatGPT will prompt you to choose a retailer, then begin curating your cart based on your request.
On the Claude homepage, click on the + sign below the search bar. Next, click Connectors, then Add connector, then Browse connectors and search for Shipt. Once you find Shipt, click Connect.
Once you’ve connected the Shipt app to Claude, just type in “Shipt” before you start searching (for example, “Shipt build me a cart for taco night for 8 people tonight in zip 35203”) and Claude will respond with available retailers and curated product suggestions.
Yes! Using an AI assistant is just one option to start your Shipt order. You can build your Shipt cart directly in Claude or ChatGPT, then when you’re ready to check out, click Open in Shipt to transfer your cart over to Shipt and place your order.

While you can build your cart on Claude or ChatGPT, you’ll still place the order through Shipt! If you have an issue with your order please contact Shipt Support.
If you have a Shipt account and have built your cart on Claude or ChatGPT, any existing items in your cart will be merged with the items you selected through Claude or ChatGPT if they are from the same store location. Items from a different store location will be saved in a separate cart.
If you don’t have a Shipt account, the items you select on Claude or ChatGPT will replace any existing items in your cart.
