When an item is in your cart, you will see a number in the bottom right-hand corner of the item image and on the cart icon in the top right-hand corner of the Shipt app or website.
Nope, there is no minimum for orders! You can shop as often as you want, and delivery is free for all orders over $35.*
*Note: Shipt membership fees and one-time delivery fees vary by market. Deliveries under $35 with a Shipt membership will incur a $7 fee. All orders with alcohol (where available) may incur a $7 alcohol fee.
Nope! You can order as much as you want!
No worries! If you don't see an item in the app or have something unusual for us to pick up for you, use the Special Request option. Be as detailed as possible with brand, size, flavor, and other descriptors that will help your shopper identify the exact item you want.
Please note, any special requests will display a $6 price as a placeholder. The actual price of the item will be reflected in the digital receipt you are emailed upon delivery.
Shoppers with Shipt are happy to deliver special items for you whenever possible. Please note that some items are restricted from delivery and cannot be fulfilled as a special request. You can find a list of restricted items here.

Yes, you can set or update your dietary preferences anytime in your Account settings. Once you have set your preferences on your account, we’ll make sure you get recommendations for products that match your preferences based on your responses.
You’ll still be able to browse all available items, but items that match your preferences will be prioritized and highlighted with a “For you” label to help you identify them faster — Your grocery list, customized. And if an item on your list is out of stock, your shopper will be able to see your preferences to pick a substitution item that fits your preferences.
There are two ways to add a note to your order.
With either option, be sure to tap Save so the shopper is able to view your note.
A backup is an optional second choice item you can select while shopping in case your first choice is unavailable. You may select one backup for each item on your order. This reduces back and forth communication with your shopper and ensures that they’ll get you what you want without having to ask! Of course, you can still stay in touch with your shopper as usual during the order.
Backups will be saved in your account for easy shopping on future orders. You can choose to remove them or set new ones.
How to set up backups:
Absolutely! You can send groceries to anyone as long as their zip code is in Shipt's coverage area. To check if their zip code is covered, click here.
To have groceries delivered to someone else, tap Account, then Addresses in the Shipt app. Add the address where you'd like the groceries delivered and select it before you build your cart. If you have any special notes or delivery instructions for your shopper be sure to add them at checkout.
We offer pickup orders in select metros. If you are in the coverage area for pickup orders, you'll be given a choice of delivery or pickup from a nearby store when you place your order. To learn more, visit our Pickup FAQ page.
At checkout, you will select your Substitution Instructions for how you would like your shopper to handle out of stock items.
Yes! Your shopper will input the price of the special requested item(s) in store.
As long as you are over $35 at the time of check out, our system will not charge you the $7 delivery fee.
In the Delivery Notes, please write anything special your shopper needs to know to complete the delivery and give you the best experience possible!

When you place your order, you will be able to select your Substitution Instructions for items that are out of stock in store. You are able to choose from the following substitution preferences:
The default option is for your shopper to contact you for out of stock items. If you do not wish to be contacted, please select the appropriate preference.
We deliver 7 days a week with the exception of certain holidays. If the store is open, we will deliver to you!
Yes! You can add items to your order up to one hour before your requested delivery window.
To add an item through your app:

You can check the status of your order in the Shipt app by tapping Orders on the home screen and selecting your most recent order. The order status will be visible at the top of the page.
You’ll also receive a notification when your shopper begins shopping. Once the order status shows “Shopping in progress,” you can tap View order progress to follow along in real-time as your shopper collects your items in the store.
Depending on your substitution preference, your shopper may also contact you about out-of-stock items.

You can cancel your order in the Shipt app anytime before your shopper starts shopping.

Your shopper will typically begin shopping your order within an hour of your delivery window to ensure that it reaches you on time.
If you indicated at checkout that you were ok with an early delivery, your shopper may begin shopping sooner. Orders approved for early delivery may be delivered any time between the store opening and the end of the delivery window.

Tap the shopping cart icon in the top right corner of the app. Scroll through your list of items to the very bottom of the page and tap the Empty cart button, then tap Yes on the confirmation screen. Please note that emptying your cart is not reversible.
High demand may sometimes impact the number of delivery windows available in your area. We recommend that you continue to periodically check your Shipt app, as windows may become available throughout the day.

Yes! You can place orders on Target.com or through the Target app for same-day delivery with Shipt. If you’re a member of Target Circle 360, you’ll have free delivery on any same-day delivery order over $35. If you’re not a member of Target Circle 360, you can order same-day delivery for a fee of $9.99.
Yes, shoppers can deliver over-the-counter medications.
Certain states require that anyone purchasing over-the-counter medication with the ingredient dextromethorphan, primarily cold and flu medications, be at least 18 years of age with a valid ID. These medications can include, but are not limited to, Vicks Dayquil and Nyquil, Mucinex DM, Theraflu, Delsym Children’s, etc.
If this is a requirement in your state, you'll be prompted to agree to terms and conditions at checkout, and your shopper will need to review your ID at delivery and collect a signature.
After you’ve signed up for a membership, open the Shipt app on your phone or desktop. Select from a list of local stores you’d like to shop from, then pick your items, choose a payment option, set a delivery time, and place your order.
If you placed a duplicate order, you can cancel it in the app up to one hour before the start of the delivery window. If the delivery window is less than one hour away, please contact Shipt Support via live chat or at 205-502-2500, and they’ll be happy to help cancel your duplicate order.
