If SNAP EBT-eligible items are unavailable or I decide to cancel my order, can I get a refund on my EBT card?

• What if my SNAP EBT-eligible items are out of stock?

  • In case an item is out of stock, we encourage you to select EBT-eligible backup items as a second choice while shopping in case your first choice is unavailable. EBT-eligible backup items will be charged to your EBT card as long as the price of the backup item does not exceed the original SNAP EBT-eligible total.     You can also choose between three different substitution instructions for your Shopper: “Contact me so I can choose,” “Choose for me,” or “Do not substitute.” To learn more about substitution instructions, click here. 
    
    If you opt not to choose a backup or a substitute, any out-of-stock items initially paid for with an EBT card will be refunded back to the EBT card. You’ll receive an email with the amount refunded to your EBT card and your new SNAP EBT balance.

• Can I pay the delivery fee with my SNAP EBT card?

  • No, delivery fees and other associated fees cannot be paid for with SNAP benefits. Only state-mandated bottle deposit fees can be paid with your SNAP benefits. All other fees will be charged to your secondary payment method.

• If I used SNAP EBT, can I change my order or add to my order after I submit it?

  • You can add items to your order up to an hour before your delivery or pickup window begins. If the additional item cost for any SNAP-eligible items exceeds the original SNAP EBT order total, these items will be charged to your secondary payment method.

    If you want to increase the amount charged to your EBT card, please cancel your order, select the “Reorder” option, add the additional SNAP-eligible items to your new cart, and then checkout using your EBT card.
