How can we help?

What if my SNAP EBT-eligible items are out of stock?

In case an item is out of stock, we encourage you to select EBT-eligible backup items as a second choice while shopping in case your first choice is unavailable. EBT-eligible backup items will be charged to your EBT card as long as the price of the backup item does not exceed the original SNAP EBT-eligible total. To learn more about backup items, click here.

You can also choose between three different substitution instructions for your Shopper: “Contact me so I can choose,” “Choose for me,” or “Do not substitute.” To learn more about substitution instructions, click here

If you opt not to choose a backup or a substitute, any out-of-stock items initially paid for with an EBT card will be refunded back to the EBT card. You’ll receive an email with the amount refunded to your EBT card and your new SNAP EBT balance.
